THINGS FOR YOU TO CONSIDER
First of all, let me say that I’m not
totally comfortable having to approach these issues, but on the other hand I
believe it might help to eliminate any confusion that might arise in regards to
expectations on your part as well as my own.
I never place demands on any church. Yet, these are things I’d like for you to
take into consideration:
Ministry is my primary means of support: As I travel around this great nation, going from church to church, my needs are met through your generous love offerings.
My request is that a love
offering be received towards the end of each service. (the
reason I say each service, is that many of the people in the morning
service
will not return for the evening service. They will at least have had an
opportunity to give.)
The reason I ask
this be done at the end of the service, is that by that time, the people
will know you, if you bless them, they will be more apt to want to bless
you.
Many churches choose to underwrite
my travel expenses in addition to the
congregation‘s love offering. This is greatly appreciated.
The main thing I ask, is that you put an effort in receiving the offering to assist in sustaining the Lord's work and my livelihood. Take my livelihood as serious as you would your own.
I request a 6 or 8 foot table: to
display my tabernacle teaching tapes as well as my preaching tapes. I would
like to set this table up in the foyer when possible. (after the pastor
receives the love offering, I would like approximately 5 minutes to
mention the tapes, to let the people know what I have available for them.
In Regards to Cancellations: Please remember ministry is my lively hood. If you must cancel, I really need at least a 3 weeks notice. It makes it really difficult, if not impossible to re-schedule on such short notice.
Let me say, I do appreciate the
opportunity to come to your church. I don’t take this lightly. I know the Lord
will bless and I am looking forward to being you.
